Join BAPO

We aim to provide a quality service for our members and affiliates in many different ways. We offer different categories of membership and affiliation. Below you can see the membership categories and the exact benefits can be seen here:  Membership Levels & Benefits  To apply just download the appropriate application form at the foot of the page.

Membership can either be paid in full or by direct debit to spread the cost throughout the year.  Remember to apply for a tax rebate on the full cost of membership and for information on how to do this please see the guide in the table below.

MemberQualified Prosthetists, Orthotists and Prosthetist/Orthotists
Non-practising member - including parental leaveQualified Prosthetists, Orthotists and Prosthetist/Orthotists who are not employed in or associated with the prosthetics and orthotics industry in any capacity.

Current members who are taking maternity/paternity leave have the option to change to the non-practising category. This will allow you to remain a BAPO member and receive updates as well as being covered by insurance for work carried out while you were a Full Member
New Graduate (Year 1-5)Recently graduated Qualified Prosthetists, Orthotists, and Prosthetist/Orthotists within their first five years of practice
Technician associateTechnicians working within the Prosthetic or Orthotic industry
Assistant associateA person qualified to practice Orthotics or Prosthetics in a limited area
Student associateStudents engaged in a full time UK undergraduate Honours degree in Prosthetics or Orthotics (or post graduate programme) who are not undertaking any clinical practice
Affiliate ProfessionalAny other health professional working within the fields of prosthetics and/or orthotics, such as a bioengineer, doctor, nurse, or allied health professional
Affiliate IndividualAny individual with an interest in the prosthetic and orthotic profession
Retired memberA person who has held membership or affiliation to BAPO within the last five years and is not currently practising in any capacity
